Weekly Progress & News Update

It was such a joy getting the chance to meet everyone who turned out last Saturday for our first ever cookout. For those of you who missed out on tacos and private tours, do not worry. We shall be hosting several more events over the coming months. For those of you who did, we want to thank you for hanging out and spending the afternoon with us and taking part in the festivities. To the winners of our survey prize giveaway, congratulations on the win! Be on the lookout for your confirmation email and be sure to respond so we can drop off your prizes soon. That being said, make sure the rest of the family knows that if they see a stranger walking up the driveway not to worry. It’s just us!

On to the pressing matter at hand; When is opening day? We are pleased to report that construction is coming along day by day. Sans the few delays due to material availability and a few inspections that, unfortunately, take a while to go through the bureaucratic process, everything is on track and should be completed in a timely manner. We are still confident in our projected timeline and ability to open our doors to the community by mid April. In other good news, construction is not the only piece of the plan that has made substantial progress.

All of the early risers will be pleased to know that we have finalized our morning menus, including our coffee program and breakfast line up. Keep in mind, these menus will be evolving as we gather input from you, the community, and we are eager to hear your feedback. We also want to give a big shout out to the good folks at Black & White Coffee Roasters and the dynamic duo at Birdie Coffee Co. We couldn’t ask for better partners in our mission to provide the community with the best coffee and baked goods in town.

For the spirit lovers, we have a little sneak peak for you all, as well. Our initial craft cocktail menu is also complete. Each cocktail is named and inspired by various street names found within the community. It has been a fun, creative challenge that we intend to continue with as we develop our cocktail program.

One last sneak peak, this one for the wine enthusiast out there. Many of you have asked us about the cabinets that line the adjacent wall of our lounge space. These are our wine lockers that will be available to rent on an annual basis. We have several perks to compliment the program, including discounts on event ticket pricing, gifted monthly items, and much more. Although we are still a few weeks away from opening, we will be taking reservations for lockers starting in April. If interested, send an email to hello@wearebfd.com or swing by to speak with us. There are only 24 lockers available, so we highly recommend getting yours early before they are all spoken for.

Again, we thank you all for your interest and patience. We look forward to crossing the finish line soon. Stay updated on our progress online. See you all soon!
